Securing $45 million to restore access to high-quality PreK programs is just one of the ways Lorenzo demonstrates his commitment to our students so they can become tomorrow’s leaders.
Working with district superintendents, libraries, and community groups, Lorenzo obtained funding for 40,000 free books, putting them into the hands of LD22's youngest residents. This focus on early literacy helped teachers improve reading skills in classrooms throughout our community.
Lorenzo is a champion for education in Arizona and stands with the Red for Ed movement.

Good-paying, dependable jobs are one of the building blocks of our communities and families. This is why Lorenzo champions Legislative District 22 and the West Valley as a place for new businesses to put down roots.
Lorenzo's was the swing vote leading to the expansion of the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. With a $12B economic impact to Arizona, Lorenzo's vote was vital in creating at least 1,600 high-quality tech jobs and many thousands of additional union jobs, including many in LD22.
He voted to create funding expansion opportunities for startup businesses in LD22 and Arizona through the angel investment tax credit. This expansion is projected to generate economic output of $1.3 billion and tax revenue of $44 million.
Lorenzo led efforts to pass authorization of the first Opportunity Zone project in the nation – a 58-acre lodging, retail, and housing site now under construction in LD22.
With Lorenzo’s experience as both a small business owner and Fortune 500 business leader, he understands the support local businesses need in order to grow and thrive.
Access to affordable, quality healthcare is vital to our families and our community’s success. That’s why Lorenzo is proud to work with community groups and healthcare providers to expand health services to members of our community who would otherwise be unable to access or afford care.
Lorenzo paid out of his own funds to help bring the first COVID-19 testing site to the southwest portion of LD22.
He voted against Big Tobacco to keep vape stores and their advertising away from our schools and childcare centers.
He voted to increase funding for our frontline workers, expanding health and safety within our LD22 neighborhoods.
Lorenzo is committed to keeping up the fight for healthy, strong communities at the Arizona Legislature.

Long before the federal infrastructure bill passed, Lorenzo fast-tracked street repairs and road improvements throughout LD22.
He voted for the official recognition of the Matricula Counsular ID, increasing both safety and economic benefits within our LD22 communities.
